how to make a dinosaur - build a t-rex

Learn how to make a dinosaur with our free 1-page printable build-a-dinosaur kit. Make a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which means “king” in latin. The name is quite fitting, since it is is one of the most popular and well represented dinosaurs!

This a great preschool or kindergarten activity for those children who love dinosaurs. Color the T-Rex any way you like, make her green or even purple! Just color, cut and create your very own prehistoric creature!

Maybe you’re just looking to color a dinosaur? Well, our free T-Rex dinosaur printable comes in a dinosaur coloring page! Just simply print and color. So, whether you want to make a dinosaur or simply color one, our free activity has you covered.

Go ahead and laminate

I recommend laminating all of our Build activities. Laminating gives this craft a bit more permanence. Kids can put the craft together over and over again without worrying about having to cut and color each time. I don’t use anything fancy, just a simple and easy laminator. This is the laminator I use and recommend, you literally just turn it on, it heats up, and you’re ready to start laminating anything everything!

I’m also a big fan of the self-sealing laminating pouches! They are super easy! You literally just place your printable in a letter size pouch, run it through the laminator and you have a sealed and long-lasting item!

Also, if you do choose to laminate, stick little self-adhesive velcro dots on the laminated pieces so your kids can attach and reattach easily. This eliminates the use of any messy glue!

Need some craft supplies?

Amazon has always been my go-to for most of my office and craft supplies. If you print a lot of printables and spend  time coloring, gluing and adding some extra jazz to them, our list of supplies can help!

I’ve split the list up into a basic list and a fancier list if you’re going to put a little more pizazz into your printables.
