About Mrs. Merry

Hi there! Welcome! I’m Kristin, also known as Mrs. Merry. Thanks for visiting — I’m so glad you’re here!

Why Mrs. Merry?

I am a lover of life and I always do my best to help spread happiness and joy. I consider myself a genuinely happy person (merry, if you will). I believe that happiness is a choice one makes, and I choose it every day of my life. I grew up in a large family and my parents always pushed positivity in our lives. They taught us that being happy is being healthy, and with a healthy outlook, it’s easier to make that choice. Glass half full kind of thing. And I definitely took that teaching and have always tried my best to live that positive life and to spread positivity wherever I can.

I also believe there is no greater joy in life than to witness the magic of children enjoying learning. They are amazing young human beings that soak up all the newness in the world around them like a sponge soaks up water. To me, it is truly one of the most rewarding gifts life has to offer. Witnessing these magical moments is one of the inspirations that helped me to start creating fun decorations and activities for kids.  I started making them for family birthday parties. I loved doing it and when I saw the excitement the kids got from them, my inspiration grew. I saw how much fun they were having AND how much they were learning (without even realizing it at times) and I knew I wanted to keep doing more. These hands-on activities that promote learning, brain growth, and development reach the children in the forms of games, activities, and decorations, making it so much more fun for them! And that is how Mrs. Merry was born!

The holiday piece.

Also, surprise…I love the holidays! Christmas, Halloween, New Years, birthdays, you name it. I am all about any excuse to celebrate someone, or something, and to decorate for a holiday or party . Holidays bring people together and make people smile. They give us something to look forward to, even if it’s just a few hours of a given day. When we see decorations popping up everywhere, everything instantly seems even better and brighter. If that’s not you, I’m sorry (Scrooge?), but that’s me! :) So expect a lot of holiday activities for kids here at mrsmerry.com

About me (outside of Mrs. Merry):

Outside of mrsmerry.com I work full-time as a Web Developer/Designer. I’m also happily married with 4 amazing young children. (Yes, I am merry, merry busy!) mrsmerry.com is something I do on the side. Lots of late nights and weekends. It is my dream to one day be able to leave my current job and work on mrsmerry.com full-time. The list of printables I look forward to creating is great and endless!

Love what you do and make it work, is what I say!

Anyway, I hope to see more of you again. If you’d like to contact me for any reason, whether it’s to ask a question, tell us what you think, or if you’d like to advertise with me, please reach out! I would love to hear from you.
