So, you might be saying, hey this is great but how do I use it? It’s simple. This easy multiplications table printable is a tool to help children with multiplication in a few easy steps.

Here is an example of how to use the math chart:

If you have the multiplication equation 4 x 6.

The multiplication chart can also solve division equations.

Here is an example of how to use the chart for division equations.

If you have the division equation 10 ÷ 2

  1. Find the second number in the equation, 2, in the first column.
  2. Then move across the row to the first number in the equation, 10.
  3. From 10 move up the column to the top number, 5 (the answer).

10 ÷ 2 = 5

You can also use skip counting to multiply.

Skip counting is something we have all learned as children and probably still do as adults.  It’s when you take an odd or even number and add the same number each time to the previous number.

So for example, if you have the equation 2 x 6

You take 2 and add 2 six times to get the answer.

2, 4,  6,  8,  10, 12 <– 12 being the answer. 2 x 6 = 12

A lot of people skip count when dealing with money. For example:

I have six 5 dollar bills, how much money do I have? Hint: Add 5, 6 times.

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. $30 dollars.

What is included in the free printable multiplication charts:

Practice your mathematics with a printed multiplication chart. A great alternative to perfecting your knowledge of the times tables.

2. Unicorn inspired multiplications table chart.

When I chose these colors, I wanted it to feel “unicorn” without actually showing a unicorn. When I think of a unicorn I think of the many shades of pink and purple mixed together in a sea of soft colored pastels. The colors draw your eye to the number without leading them as much as the classic rainbow multiplications table printable above.
