This Christmas freebie is a perfect activity to do with the kids between lesson plans or at home if you’re looking to give them something fun to do. Or simply use them as printable Christmas decorations to give your home a little personalized Christmas decor.
Use the ornament templates as Christmas Coloring Pages
Don’t feel like making ornaments? Simply use the ornament pages as Christmas coloring sheets. Hand them out to your kids or put them in the coloring bin at school for your preschoolers or kindergarten students. There are also more detailed ornaments included in this free Christmas printable for the older kids.
Instructions on creating these adorable printable Christmas ornaments
It is really simple to make the DIY Christmas ornaments. Just a few simple steps that even toddlers can follow with a little help from their parents.
1. Print the 20 Christmas Ornaments Printables. I recommend using a thicker white cardstock to print on. If using regular letter size paper, it may be a good idea to laminate (make these last!).
2. Have your children or students color the ornaments using crayons, markers or colored pencils. Use festive colors like red, green and gold. Or encourage them to just use their favorite colors to color the ornament and make it more unique to them.
3. Use those fine motor skills and cut out the ornaments using rounded-tip scissors.
4. Use a hole puncher to punch a hole into the circle that is at the top of each ornament.
5. Use string, ribbon or use an ornament hooks to hang your ornaments on the tree.
