The preschool years are fun years. Preschoolers are just starting to learn to recognize patterns, shapes and colors. The holidays are extra special to these little ones. This is the age when the holidays start to become real in their minds – and they tend to get more excited about them in general. I love this age, their innocence, and witnessing all the new things they are experiencing and capable of in life. This is why I had to bang out a few Preschool Thanksgiving Worksheets and make the holidays a bit more fun and special for them.

What’s included in the Preschool Thanksgiving Worksheets?
I created 3 worksheets centered around the same 8 Thanksgiving items. Preschoolers tend to learn better when they are familiar with what they’re working on. This is attained by repetition. These worksheets also act as a good themed lesson plan. All 3 worksheets incorporate patterns, shape recognition, and observation skills.
1. Free Thanksgiving Seek & Find Printable
The Seek and Finds, or Hidden Picture printables, are a new favorite of mine. I love building out the scenes and hiding the items within them. These are challenging for me to create since I touch and alter every line involved, which is both time consuming and challenging. But they are also really fun to make!
For the Thanksgiving Seek and Find, I hid 8 items within a picture of a family preparing to enjoy their Thanksgiving feast. I placed them where they are easy enough for a preschooler to find. Most of the items are in plain sight, but a few are hidden a bit deeper in the scene for more of a challenge.
Use the Thanksgiving Worksheet as a Coloring Page
I try to make most of my printables coloring optional. Meaning, if you want to, you’ll have the option of coloring it. Not only is this a 2-for-1, but it also makes it much easier on your printer ink!
I like to suggest coloring each item as your child finds them and then they can finish coloring the whole picture. The seek and find is detailed enough to make this really fun for them to color.
I like to create the seek and finds in a way where they tell a story. Have your child tell this story by finding all the hidden pictures!

Pattern recognition is really the very beginning of math. It is recognizing the changes in an object or number and the formula behind that change.
The Thanksgiving Patterns worksheet is a perfect school worksheet for preschool or kindergarten students. Recognizing patterns is one of the first developmental lessons children learn in school. Introducing patterns helps teach kids that things change overtime.
Color the Thanksgiving items on the page.
With a pair of rounded tip scissors, cut the 4 Thanksgiving items from the bottom of the sheet.
With a glue stick, glue each item to complete the pattern for each line.
Use our fun Thanksgiving Patterns worksheet and have your student or child study the patterns shown and guess which item comes next. The same Thanksgiving items used in the Seek and Find printable are being used here.
