Use the zombie crafts for Halloween decorations
It’s the perfect time of year to decorate your home with zombies! Print out a few Build-a-Zombie sheets and create your own personalized zombies. Hang them on the walls for some Halloween fun.
Also, decorate your porch with your zombie printables to make it more festive for the trick-or-treaters.
We also have a Pumpkin Banner and Fall Leaves Banner for some added Fall and Halloween decor.
You can never have enough Zombie Halloween crafts
Some of my kids are old enough now to enjoy a good scare (as long as it’s not tooooo scary). So zombie crafts get a big thumbs up in our house. This is why I made both a boy and girl zombie.
When assembling our zombies, we used the velcro dots to attach the zombie parts together. Doing this let my daughter mix and match one zombie arm for another, to make them even more zombified!
Create your own little zombie doll
You can make cute little movable zombie dolls with this printable. How?
1. Laminate the zombie printable
2. Cut out the zombie parts
3. If you’re not laminating, use glue or paste to attach the zombie parts . If you are laminating, I recommend using velcro dots to connect the pieces.
TIP: When putting the girl zombie together, place the head onto the hair (so the head is the top layer and the hair the bottom layer).
Position the velcro dots so you can layer the pieces and mix-match the parts.
The velcro dot connectors allow some movement with the zombies. If you give the foot or arm a little jiggle the zombie will give a little shake (and appear to come to life)!
When putting on the velcro dots, it’s helpful if you put all of the hook dots (the harder/firmer dots) on one side and the loop dots (softer dots) on the other side. Keep it consistent on which side you’re using. This makes it easier to switch the zombie parts from one zombie doll to another.
Some education around velcro: Velcro has two sides (hard and soft). The hard/firmer side is the “catch” or the hook. The other side is the “catcher” or the soft side. These two pieces connect and stick together to form “velcro.”
Another great Halloween build activity is our Scarecrow Cut & Paste craft. Also available in a boy and girl version.
