Format: Our owl template comes in PDF format and perfectly sized to print on 8.5″x11″ standard size letter paper. This size and format makes it easy to print on any printer!
Things you need for the free owl printable:
- The printed owl template (see the bottom of the page for download instructions).
- Crayons, markers or colored pencils.
- A pair of rounded tip scissors (to cut out the owl parts).
- Paste or glue to glue the owl parts together.

How to create and assemble your owl printable:
- If using the black & white version, grab crayons, markers or colored pencils and color the owl parts with the colors of your choosing.
- Using a pair of rounded scissors (safer for the little ones) cut out the owl parts. Don’t worry if your children don’t cut perfectly along the lines. The owl craft looks great even when it looks rough around the edges.
- Use glue or paste to put the owl together in your own unique way.
- Hang it up on the fridge or for decoration!
Are you laminating your owl printable?
I recommend laminating! It’s quick and easy and makes any craft last.
- Laminate the entire sheet of paper before you start cutting out the owl parts.
- Once laminated, cut out the owl parts.
- Use velcro dots to velcro one part to another.
Laminating and using velcro dots turns this paper craft into a long-lasting toy that can be used again and again.
